Winter Wildlands Alliance is a founding member of Outdoor Alliance, a coalition dedicated to promoting and protecting the human powered outdoor recreation experience by uniting the voices of backcountry skiers and snowshoers with thousands of paddlers, mountain bikers and climbers to conserve America’s public lands.
The human powered outdoor recreation community has a direct and intensely personal interest in the conservation of our public lands. We are often the first to notice—and care—when something is wrong in our outdoor landscapes, and we are highly motivated to protect these places and the experiences they offer. Outdoor Alliance unites this community in order to protect our public lands and ensure that they are managed in a way that embraces the human powered experience. In doing so, we are building and nurturing a conservation constituency for the 21st century.
Founded in 2014, Outdoor Alliance, a non-profit coalition of 10 national advocacy organizations including Access Fund, American Alpine Club, American Canoe Association, American Whitewater, Colorado Mountain Club, International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA), the Mazamas, the Mountaineers, Surfrider Foundation and Winter Wildlands Alliance. Together we unite the voices of millions of outdoor enthusiasts to conserve public lands and ensure those lands are managed in a way that embraces the human-powered experience.
